Hi Everyone-
Am new to the Jayne's material and have been interested in consciousness for most of my life.
Has anyone read Biglino's work? It's been eye opening to me though I believe the author, and those around him, are hoping to spin his findings to support the ET origins of mankind theory.
In the Jaynes model, are the `entities' that are encountered in the bible and referred to as the Elohim, simply visual hallucinations? Or could they be people, with a little more skill or trickery, playing mentalist tricks to get them to believe that they are their god? Much has been spoken about the mentalists in ancient Egypt and their ability to control their population. I know there can never be a definitive answer to his idea, but am curious as to what the opinion of those with more insight on Jaynes' work.
Thanks in advance!
John
