Applying Julian Jaynes's theory to the Old Testament, I have rewritten the story of Moses and the Hebrew exodus from Egypt as a classical epic in blank verse. My Moses is a bicameral man, desperately fighting off rival gods and tribes to maintain the tenuous hierarchy of his Hebrew tribe. I consider it a part of an emerging genre of bicameral fiction.
