"I was sure it was God's voice. The message was clear. I must leave the convent to help the poor by living with them. This was a command, something to be done. Something definite. I knew where I had to be. But I did not know to get there." - Mother Teresa

Mother Teresa is a very interesting case of a modern human hearing the voice of God. It completely changed her life, and she obeyed the voice. What a great demonstration of hearing an external voice, and how humans are compelled to believe it. The Church, of course, did not believe her story.

The irony is that being a modern human, she longed for the voice again, but never heard it, so she struggled with faith in God just like we did. But even with the doubt and feeling of abandonment, she continued helping people.

That's a great anecdote of vestigial bicameralism, thank you!
